Summary & Fact Sheets

You are Brick FlexitiCard primary cardholder

You are a Canadian resident

You are between the ages of 18 and 65 (71 in BC)

Every month you pay $1.39 per $100 of your outstanding insured balance. For example, if there is an outstanding balance of $1,000 on your Brick FlexitiCard, the monthly premium payment will be $13.90 plus all applicable taxes.

If you are employed full-time a minimum of 25 hours per week and lose your job through no fault of your own and remain unemployed (for more than 30 consecutive days), the coverage will pay your Brick FlexitiCard payment obligation on your behalf. We will make your monthly payment until you return to work full-time, up to 12 months.

If you are a self-employed individual working full-time for a minimum of 25 hours per week in a legally incorporated business that has been operating 2 or more years continuously and you become involuntarily unemployed as a result of your business being involuntarily petitioned into bankruptcy by your creditors and are unable to generate any income (for more than 30 consecutive days), the coverage will pay your Brick FlexitiCard monthly payment on your behalf, retroactively beginning from your date of loss. We will make your monthly payments until you return to work full-time, up to a maximum of 12 monthly payments.

If you experience an injury or become ill (for more than consecutive 30 days) and unable to work and you under a physician’s care, we will pay your Brick FlexitiCard monthly payment obligation on your behalf, retroactively beginning from your date of loss. The coverage will make your monthly payment until you return to work or a maximum of 12 months.

If you or your spouse are diagnosed with a Critical Illness for the first time in your life, are younger than 65 years of age and survive the first diagnosis for at least 30 days, the coverage will pay the amount equal to the outstanding Brick FlexitiCard balance at the date of first diagnosis.

This one-time benefit payment covers your eligible outstanding balance, up to $25,000.

In addition to the coverages provided by the insurance and while the insurance policy remains in place, the Lifetime Milestone Support service feature provides a one-time payment of up to $2,000 as described in the certificate of Insurance to celebrate a birth or adoption, marriage, retirement, graduation, or purchase of a home.

The terms under which insurance starts are as follows:

  • Your FLEXITI FINANCIAL loan application must have been approved
  • You have agreed to purchase insurance (insurance commences on this date)

The coverage will end on the sooner of the next billing date after the Insurer or FLEXITI FINANCIAL receive your written request to end this insurance coverage or the date you are more than 30 days delinquent in making any required payments on your Insured FLEXITI FINANCIAL loan payment obligation Contract.
